We are halfway through Diablo 4 Season 6, and as the release date of the new season approaches, we are beginning to learn about some of the changes that will be happening in Season 7. Besides the basic season mechanism and quality of life changes, class balance and improvement in Diablo 4 are the most concerned by players, after all, this is related to our build and endgame experience.
For the class changes in Season 7, the most noteworthy thing is that Class Quest will no longer be unlocked for a specific class. Players can unlock all classes as long as they pass it once. This means that you will no longer need to spend time completing these repetitive and boring tasks.
I believe that all old players of Diablo 4 know that each class in the game not only has specific weapons and skills but also can use some special abilities, but this needs to be unlocked by completing special Class Quests. To complete these Class Quests, your character must reach a certain level. Generally speaking, this threshold is level 15. Of course, some tasks also have some additional conditions.
Class Quest Unlocks Will Be Tied To Your Account
Since the initial release of Diablo 4, these Class Quest unlocks have been tied to a specific class. However, in Season 7, the developers plan to make some adjustments to change this.
As we learned during the developer campfire chat live broadcast on November 21, in Season 7, Class Quests will be tied to your account rather than your character, which means that the benefits of completing a Class Quest will be account-wide. This change also means that players can more easily start some new characters without wasting more time and Diablo 4 Gold on the same things.
The developers said that in the next season, the rewards for completing Class Quests will be tied to your character’s level requirements. For example, Barbarians and Druids will need to be at level 15 to unlock their Class Quest rewards. If a player has already completed this task, they can do so again when they reach level 25 in the Necromancer class.
Possible New Class Quest Rewards
Starting from the next season, Diablo 4 players will not be forced to repeat new Class Quests, but some players may still want to continue the rules of the previous season. We noticed in the latest campfire chat of the developers that the repeated Class Quests of the previous season will have some new reward mechanisms after the game is updated.
Season 7 Release Time Prediction
Currently, the exact release time of Diablo 4 Season 7 has not been determined, and no specific details of the changes have been announced in the latest campfire chat, but as the new season arrives, more and more information will be revealed.
We speculate that the release time of Diablo 4 Season 7 is likely to start in late January, based on the fact that Season 6 was launched on October 8, and usually, the release time of the two seasons is about three months apart.
New Season PTR
In addition, Diablo 4 Public Test Realm server will be launched on December 3, and players can experience the game on that day to understand some of the upcoming season changes. Please note that this beta program will end on December 10, so players who want to experience the changes in the new season in advance should pay attention to the end time of the beta version.
In the campfire chat in late November 2024, the developers introduced the enemy Headrotten in the new season. Killing these enemies will drop corresponding Restless Rot and Occult Gems as rewards. Restless Rot is the currency used to unlock Powers of Witchcraft in the new season. Diablo 4 Season 7 will add more than 20 new Witchcraft Powers to the game, which may be the key to changing the rules of the game.
In any case, we will be able to see the true face of the new season in late January next year. All Diablo 4 fans should remember to mark the release time on their calendars so that they can be the first batch of players to experience the new season! Looking forward to seeing you in the game!
