FFXIV’s Patch 7.2 was finally released on March 25th, allowing Warriors of Light to continue the next chapter of Dawntrail story. New stories, quests, dungeons, brand new items and recipes are waiting for you!

- Players can now ride while moving
Occult Crescent
Occult Crescent is a large instance that can accommodate up to 72 players. When you are in a squad, you and your squad members will join Occult Crescent together. The requirements for participating in this Occult Crescent are to complete the main quest of 7.0 and reach the level 100 combat mission to unlock it.
Players are able to use Phantom Jobs in this Occult Crescent. Phantom Jobs can be used in conjunction with regular jobs. Players can obtain and upgrade Phantom Weapons in this instance.
Treasure chests and Magic Pots will appear randomly in the wilderness. Feeding Magic Pots with an Elixir will reveal clues to the treasure location, thereby obtaining rewards such as Gil and materials.
Story Update
Seekers Of Eternity
Queen of Reason has miraculously returned and brought back disturbing news. You need to investigate the disturbing signs in the city with your friends and find out who is behind it.
To complete the mission, you need to:
- Talk to Wuk Lamat in the suburbs.
- Find Allenville and defeat any enemies that appear.
- Aid Allenville.
- Talk to Allenville.
- Talk to Shale in the back room.
After completing Seekers of Eternity quest, you will be able to obtain the Seekers of Eternity achievement, FFXIV Gil, and one of the following items:
- Heavens’ Eye Materia X1
- Savage Aim Materia X1
- Savage Might Materia X1
Glimmer Of The Past
- Level Requirement: Disciple of War/Magic level 100
- Location: Backroom (X:6.0 Y:6.4)
- Questgiver: Krile
- Pre-requisites: Players must first complete the quest Crossroads
To complete this quest, you need to:
- Enter Lounge.
- Talk to Sphene.
- Talk to Sphene again.
After completing Glimmer of the Past quest, you will be able to obtain one of the following rewards:
- 2 Tacos de Carne Asada
- 2 Mesquite Soup
- 2 Creamy Alpaca Pasta
- 2 Broccoli and Spinach Saute
- 1 Nightworld Silver Piece
New Era Quests
The new version also adds New Era quests:

Side Quest

Many players have approved of the new plot of this update. They think that the story of 7.2 has made significant progress compared to the previous story. Calyx tried to sneak attack Warrior of Light with lightning instead of confronting the players head-on, which shows that he is a smart and excellent villain. At least he really does something that a villain should do.
Dungeon
A new dungeon is added in the 7.2 update. This dungeon is a huge building built by the people of Alexandria around Royal Castle. Players can find it in the depths of Everkeep. Clearing this dungeon can obtain FF14 Gil, equipment, and various materials.

- Recollection Trial
Calyx takes you to Alexandria’s castle to test your strength, and you have to fight against a mechanical guardian. She is an iron guard created by Sphene using the memories of Zelenia, the second-in-command of Royal Knights. The Queen asks you to destroy her to put an end to this insult to her friend.
- Level Requirement: Disciple of War/Magic level 100
- Item Level Requirement: At least Average item level 715
- Party Size: 8 Players
- Time Limit: 60 minutes
Job Adjustments
- Melee DPS professions will receive DPS enhancements
- Pictomancer will be slightly weakened

The above is part of the content of patch 7.2. There are a lot of content in this update, but there will be subsequent updates. As far as the main storyline is concerned, patch 7.2 is quite satisfactory. There are more and richer content in the game, Warrior of Light, come and experience it.
