Sony San Diego Studio has recently launched the third major game update for MLB The Show 23. This latest patch, called Game Update 3, is now available and players may receive a notification to download it when starting up their game over the weekend.
The latest game update for MLB The Show 23 addresses various issues in multiple game modes, such as Diamond Dynasty, Road to the Show, and March to October.
These updates include fixes for minor problems like RTTS's Custom Practice pitches not going to the selected location or freezes occurring when making defensive adjustments in Co-op.
Additionally, this update contains fixes for several online head-to-head matchup crashes, which will certainly come as a relief to players.
Today's update made several important changes to Pitch Accuracy, which was a source of player frustration due to perfect inputs not feeling rewarding.
The team at Sony San Diego made multiple adjustments to the tuning of pitch accuracy, aiming to address this issue. They hope that these changes will make the game more enjoyable and satisfying for players for getting more rewards and MLB The Show 23 Stubs.
According to Sony, Pinpoint Pitching generates the smallest Pitch Accuracy Rating (PAR), which is why the changes made in today's update will have the most significant impact on this pitching interface.
However, all types of pitching should still see some improvement in accuracy, as multiple adjustments have been made to the tuning of pitch accuracy. Overall, these changes aim to make the game more enjoyable for all players.
On top of Pitch Accuracy changes, Sony has also made adjustments to Live Series Captains in Diamond Dynasty. These Captains provide stat boosts to your team once specific requirements are met. However, Sony noticed that they weren't being utilized as often as they hoped.
As a result, the requirements for Live Series Captains have been lowered by one for each tier. For instance, a Captain that previously required five players for their Tier 1 Boost now only needs four. This change aims to encourage the usage of Captains and Live Series cards in Ranked play and improve the overall gaming experience for all players.
Players in Road to the Show and Franchise modes are excited about the addition of the Jackie Robinson Day uniform update to the game. Celebrated every year on April 15 across the Major Leagues, the day honors Jackie Robinson by having every player wear his jersey number , #42.
This year, each team will display his number in Dodger blue with Dodgers-style numbering. While this update does not address any known issues, it adds more excitement and authenticity to the game, bringing players closer to the history and legacy of one of baseball's greatest heroes.
