What Adjustments Have Been Made To Base Classes And Nightmare Dungeons In Diablo 4 Season 9?
Diablo 4 Season 9 release time is on Tuesday, July 1st. Compared with previous seasons, the game content and related mechanisms of Season 9 have changed significantly.
This includes adjustments to the difficulty of challenges in specific areas of the map, adjustments to some game interfaces, and changes to the strength of different types of characters. This article introduces some new information you need to know about this new season.
Strengthening Of Nightmare Dungeon
In the previous PTR test feedback, the changes to the permanent Nightmare Dungeon still have certain shortcomings, which will be significantly optimized in this new season. Not only will the user page and message page here become brand new, but the efficiency of map refresh bosses will also be greatly improved, giving players a more concise and smooth gaming experience.
Compared with before, players can now try the lower-difficulty game setting and challenge Escalating Nightmare Dungeons, of course, this setting does not have the final challenge. Likewise, as difficulty increases, the number and quality of Diablo 4 Items dropped will increase, giving players plenty of reasons to upgrade and strengthen themselves.
In addition, there will be more potential bosses in the final battle, which means players have the opportunity to defeat more bosses to get more Diablo 4 Gold and other rewards. This also includes special “surprise reward” that may be the most powerful equipment in Diablo 4.
Adjustments To Different Game Classes
The bad news is that almost all classes have some nerfs this season. This is especially true for Barbarians, which is reflected in their equipment damage and skill effects. The damage of the strongest PTR loadouts for Barbarians: Dust Devils and Earthquake has been significantly reduced. The same is true for the popular equipment Ugly Bastard Helm.
This season, Barbarians will clearly feel the effects of the Overpower rework, that is, the additional damage based on Life and Fortify values will be removed.
Necromancer's Bone Duster's Aspect will now only Overpower the first Bone Spear it hits, rather than stacking it multiple times. Meanwhile, Blood Wave, one of the class's most enduring and popular abilities, has been nerfed.
Spiritborn's Harmonious Hunter's damage has also been drastically reduced, and its unique item Balazan's Maxtlatl has also had its damage reduced in the PTR. But this class was already strong enough in the DLC that this change may not have a big impact on it.
Rogues' attributes have also been adjusted to some extent, with Death Trap and Shadow Clone being weaker than before. And after the rework of Victimize, although the initial damage is reduced, the damage it can deal in the next three seconds is increased.
But among the adjustments to a series of classes, Sorcerer may be the most special one. Hydra heads will attack quickly after forming, making the attack more efficient. At the same time, they will also gain higher critical damage from the passive skill of Invoked Hydra. Invoked Hydra has also been redesigned. It does not require players to manually release skills first, but automatically generates damage after enchantment.
Druids have also been improved. In the new season, they can obtain a wide range of amplification effects, especially the amplification of Pulverize. Although this may be affected to a certain extent by the changes to Overpower, it will still have a good effect in actual combat results.
Summary
Although different classes have relevant adjustments in the ninth season, the specific skill combinations and their corresponding effects still need to be observed in specific actual combat.
Of course, there will be different builds in the new season. Regarding the choice of builds and how to apply them, I will not expand on it here. After waiting for a period of game experience, we will analyze the builds of specific classes.
