Diablo 4 Season 10 has officially launched on September 23, 2025. Recently, a PTR test was conducted from August 19th to 26th, giving many players a first-hand look. Chaos Perks, the season's main attraction, is attracting numerous players, and opinions vary. Let's inspect whether they are suitable for all players.
Introduction
Chaos Perks are introduced in Diablo IV Season 10. According to some information, they are more complex than the mechanics introduced in previous seasons, requiring increased flexibility and a certain level of in-depth study. This may make them difficult for players to master.
Chaos Perks are skills that stack with existing skills and are earned by killing demons in Chaos Rifts. They have four qualities: Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique. Players can equip one unique Chaos Perk and three non-unique Chaos Skills.
Let's briefly mention Chaos Rifts, a new seasonal activity in Diablo 4 Season 10 during Helltide and Nightmare Dungeons. Players can earn seasonal rewards, such as Chaos Perks, Diablo 4 Gold, and other loot, by slaying demon after demon.
Since Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique Perks currently appear in PTR, each has three skills, let's briefly explain them below.

1. Magic Chaos Perks
Invigorating Attacks grants a significant amount of primary resources, but reduces basic skill damage.
Accelerating Chaos triggers Chaotic Bursts and slightly reduces the random cooldown upon hitting an enemy.
Unstable Power allows basic skills to Critically Strike and Overpower upon hitting an enemy, but the power and cooldown are unstable.
2. Rare Chaos Perks
Erupting Chaos deals random bursts of damage.
Power Siphon boosts Core Skill damage, but consumes resources.
Alternating Alterations refunds previously spent resources and increases damage with subsequent Core Skills.
3. Legendary Chaos Perks
Marred Guard's Maximum Resistance is increased by 5-10%, Armor is increased by 20-40%, and Barrier and Reinforcement generation is increased by 50-100%. However, healing will no longer be received if it exceeds 50%.
Chaotic Cooldowns randomly sets the cooldown of cast skills to a random duration between the normal 2-second base cooldown and unleashes a powerful Chaotic Burst during Cooldowns.
Crazy Brew reduces resource consumption by 100% when consuming a Healing Potion, increases attack speed by 40%-80%, and movement speed by 40%-80%, with a duration of 4 seconds. However, the potion's cooldown has been increased.
4. Unique Chaos Perks
Chaos Unleashed triggers nine times when killing an enemy with 100 Chaos stacks, dealing significant damage and increasing its critical hit chance and bonus damage.
When using Chaos Perk, Brawn Over Brains significantly increases Life, Healing Received, and Overpower Damage, but also reduces Maximum Resistances and limits Armor damage reduction.
A Beast Cornered increases or decreases damage based on lost health, while also consuming health to return spent resources. Simply put, for every 20% of your maximum health missing, your damage increases by 20-30%. For every 20% of health missing, you gain 10% damage reduction.
Opinion
Players believe that the proper use of Chaos Perks requires careful consideration of both the player and their class. To reap the powerful benefits while minimizing the risks, players need to create a tailored build. However, for players who aren't familiar with builds, it's clearly a complex operation.
Secondly, while it does provide significant seasonal power in the new season, making it suitable for any composition, different players have different opinions on its use.
For example, Necromancer players are delighted because Shadowblight Crit has been increased by 20%-300% in the new season, allowing them to frequently activate Chaos Unleashed, with the chance increasing with more enemies nearby. Players can utilize Accelerating Chaos to gain additional burst and reduce the cooldown of damaging enemies.
However, some Barbarian players have a different opinion on Chaos Perks. They argue that it only has one attack slot, but since this class dual-wields weapons, they can only use this skill with one weapon type, potentially losing double Temper, which indirectly changes its gameplay.
Due to Melee-focused playstyle and specific build restrictions, Chaos Perks are somewhat beneficial for classes like Necromancer that utilize spell abilities, but are somewhat limited for classes like the Barbarian that rely on physical damage.
Thus, Chaos Perks introduced in Diablo IV Season 10 may not be universally appreciated by players who choose different classes or are less adept at independent builds. Of course, the stats and effectiveness of these Perks may change before the official season begins, but who can say for sure? We can only wait and see!
