Diablo 4 Season 10 is now live. With the addition of Chaos Perks, players can experiment with a wider range of skill combinations and pair them withiques, bringing a whole new experience.
This season, Companion Druid builds are diverse, allowing players to easily switch between companions. This build appeals to most Druid players. Let's inspect.
Skills
This season, Chaos Perk - Savagery transforms Companion skills into core skills, also increasing the size of the companion. Companion skills now consume Spirit only and are no longer based on a cooldown.
Wolves
When choosing Wolves Druids, Wolves skill becomes a core skill. It summons two wolf companions, each with a single attack. Furthermore, commanding the pack to focus on a target causes them to leap and attack, dealing increased damage.
Ravens
When choosing Ravens Druids, Ravens skill also becomes a core skill. leashing Ravens deals significant area damage and single-target damage, allowing you to farm lair bosses and clear enemies. After clearing them, you'll receive uniques or Diablo 4 Gold as rewards.
A brief mention of Chaos Perk - Savagery, a unique Chaos Perk for Druids. Players can obtain it by defeating this season's new boss, Bartuc, in Torment I or in higher-level Infernal Hordes.
Besides Wolves and Ravens skills, Companion Druids also require a number of other skills to form the foundation of their gameplay loop. Let me recommend a few.
Debilitating Roar
Debilitating Roar is an active defensive skill. It transforms Druids into Werebears, unleashing a powerful roar that reduces damage dealt by nearby enemies by 40% for 4 seconds and increases enemy damage for the duration.
Cyclone Armor
Cyclone Armor is an active defensive skill. While surrounded by strong winds, it reduces non-physical damage taken by Druid by 20%. It also rapidly spreads surrounding wind, knocking back enemies and dealing 30% increased damage.
Grizzly Rage
Grizzly Rage is an active ultimate skill that transforms Druids into Werebears for 10 seconds, granting 50% bonus damage and 20% damage reduction. Spirit regeneration is also increased by 28% while active.
In this form, the bonus damage per second is increased by 3%, up to a maximum of 75%. Killing an enemy extends the duration by 1 second, and killing a powerful boss further extends the duration, but it will not exceed 10 seconds.
There are many active and passive skills available, allowing players to combine them to suit their needs.
Uniques
Chaos Amor plays a key role in Diablo 4 Season 10 build. Choosing different Companion Druids requires choosing different Uniques.
Kilt Of Blackwing
Kilt of Blackwing is a new Unique for Druids, which players can randomly obtain by defeating enemies, opening chests, and so on.
Kilt of Blackwing is essential for Raven Druids. It increases the damage dealt by Ravens by 60-100%, reduces the cooldown of skills by 13-17.5%, and allows them to transform into other forms or activate other Companion skills.
Using Raven skills also triggers Unkindness effect, which summons three Ravens over a 10-second duration. Druids gain 636-685 maximum health, and their chance to deal double damage increases by 16-25%.
Storm Companion
When switching from Ravens Druids to Wolves Druids, you'll need to swap out Kilt of Blackwing for a Storm Companion, a pair of Uniques Pants used by Druids.
Storm Companion imbues your Wolf Companions with the power of the storm, dealing Lightning damage to enemies and granting Strom Howl ability.
Storm Companion increases your wolf's attack speed by 16-25% and grants 4-5 additional wolf companions. It also reduces damage dealt to close-range enemies by 13-17.5%, increases Lucky Hit chance by 62.5-95%, and grants Pack Leader Spirit Boon.
Since Companion Druids' skills become core skills under the influence of Savagery, each cast consumes spirit instead of a cooldown, it's important to include a Storm Companion to ensure Spirit regeneration in your build.
Furthermore, after upgrading Pack Leader Spirit Boon, it increases your chance to restore 10 Spirit points and enhances your defensive skills, making these unique pants invaluable for Companion Druids.
Greatstaff Of The Crone
Greatstaff of the Crone is a crucial Druid item, capable of dealing heavy damage to a wide range of enemies while simultaneously dealing significant damage to the targeted enemy. It's therefore highly recommended.
This staff transforms Claw into a Storm Skill and also grants Storm Strike at 170-250% of its normal damage.
It also increases damage to melee enemies by 207-270%, increases the chance of Storm Strike twice by 47-65%, and increases basic skill damage by 2-4%. It's truly a must-have item.
Legendary Aspects
For Druid players looking to build different builds, Legendary Aspects should be tailored to their chosen skills.
Aspect Of The Alpha
When choosing Wolves skills, pairing it with Aspect of the Alpha transforms a wolf companion into a werewolf companion, granting the werewolf companion 100-130% bonus damage when attacking the target and spreading Rabies.
Stormcrow's Aspect
When switching from Wolves to Ravens, you need to switch from Aspect of the Alpha to Stormcrow's Aspect. This increases the lightning damage dealt by Ravens by 60-100%. Ravens skills now deal full damage half the time, and enemies within the attack are stunned.
Summary
The above demonstrates the itemization improvements for Companion Druids in Diablo 4 Season 10, influenced by the new seasonal mechanics.
Personally, I highly recommend Companion Druids for players interested in exploring medium- to high-difficulty content. Their combined damage and survivability are enough to easily complete most missions.
