How to Farm Gold In Diablo 4? & The Best Way To Farm It

Almost any action in the game is inseparable from Gold, and it has gradually become the most inseparable part of the game players, which is why Gold is important.

But many players are very distressed that you cannot quickly accumulate a large amount of Gold, and some players may find it difficult to Farm Gold. Of course, you have a very convenient way, that is to buy Diablo 4 Gold directly. In addition, there are many ways to Farm Gold, but the most effective ways are selling equipment and killing enemies, both of which may not make you very rich right away, but you can do both activities at any time.

Diablo 4 How to farm gold

So how do you get Gold in the game? The following methods are particularly important.

How to Farm Gold?

In Diablo 4, the easiest way to get coins is to sell items. You can pick up all valuable items in the game, return to Town when your inventory is full, and sell them all. In this way, you can quickly get a lot of Gold, but you can't get any materials.

In fact, this is a choice, and you need to judge at this time:

  • If your materials are sufficient and you need Gold very much, you can choose to sell the loot you brought back;
  • If your material inventory is not enough, the suggestion to you is to salvage Rare items first, you can sell your Magic ones to get Gold.

Diablo 4 Gold

The above mainly refers to selling items to get Gold, but if you want to change it, killing monsters to Farm Gold will be a good choice. When monsters die, they drop Gold, but you can also do any events, shrines or goblins that spawn while you're there.

In other words, you can also do some events in Diablo 4 that end up with the fact that they drop a ton of items. Here's what you can learn about these activities:

Helltide

During Helltide event, you'll find a lot of monsters. At this time, when you kill them in the past, you can get a lot of loot. At the same time, you can also get some valuable materials in Helltide events, such as Forgotten Souls and even Legendary and Unique equipment. But you need to pay attention to your item drop probability.

Diablo 4 monsters

Nightmare Dungeons

Nightmare Dungeons are good for collecting lots of loot, especially in Champion's Demise or Guulrahn Canals, where monsters are concentrated and numerous.

Tree of Whispers

Tree of Whispers is also a good choice, because it lets you do a lot of different kinds of activities, all of which give you drops when you complete them. When you're done with the event, remember to go back to Town and sell your items for a ton of Gold.

In general, as long as you master the method of Farm Gold, your game experience will be better!

MLB The Show 23: There Is Some Problem About Season 2

MLB The Show 23, which has been positively received by fans, boasts improved gameplay mechanics and presentation options. One of the modes that underwent significant changes is Diamond Dynasty, which introduced "seasons" featuring unique card sets that made high-level cards more accessible early on.

While this leveling of the playing field was welcomed, some of these cards may not be usable competitively later in the year. SDS has set a high standard with Season 1, but they will need to continue delivering exciting new content to keep fans engaged.

Looking ahead, fans are eagerly anticipating significant changes and improvements in Season 2 to keep the game fresh and exciting. However, maintaining the generous offerings of Season 1 may be challenging for the developers. To keep players interested and invested, SDS will need to innovate and refine the Diamond Dynasty mode, adding accessibility and variety of players of all skill levels.

While the changes sparked some debate among players, the overall reaction to the first season has been positive. The challenge for SDS is to maintain the momentum and ensure that future seasons meet the high standards set by the first offering.

Since its release, MLB The Show 23 has been praised by players for its improved gameplay mechanics and presentation options. The Diamond Dynasty mode has seen significant changes, with SDS's promise to make high-level cards more accessible coming to fruition.

This has allowed novice and skilled players alike to build competitive teams early on in the game's life cycle with the game's reward and MLB The Show 23 Stubs. However, it may be difficult for SDS to maintain this level of accessibility in the long term, and the developer will need to work hard to deliver similarly exciting content and retain player interest.

Despite the initial excitement around the game's first round of content, SDS will face the challenge of maintaining the same level of generosity and accessibility in future drops. Players have come to expect high-level cards early on, and SDS will need to find new ways to keep the game fresh and engaging.

Whether they introduce new features or change the way they distribute cards, the studio will need to make an effort to keep players coming back for more. The game's early success sets a high bar for SDS to meet in future content drops, and the developer will need to innovate and refine the Diamond Dynasty mode to keep pace with player expectations.

To maintain momentum in MLB The Show 23's Diamond Dynasty mode, SDS could focus on releasing high-level cards for players who have not yet been featured in order to keep the mode fresh and engaging.

mlb the show 23

While adding new cards for established legends like Babe Ruth may bring initial excitement, it may not be a sustainable strategy in the long term, since it could become repetitive and less enjoyable over time. To keep players engaged and coming back, SDS can introduce new features and modes, emphasizing creativity and originality in their offerings.

The first round of content for Diamond Dynasty has been well received, and SDS will need to work hard to continue providing players with fresh and engaging content in Season 2. An effective strategy may be to release new, high-level cards for players who have not yet been featured, as well as new features and modes that keep the game exciting and engaging.

While adding multiple high-level cards for established legends can generate initial buzz, it may not be a sustainable strategy in the long-term, so SDS should strive for balance and strive to surprise and delight its fans. Overall, providing innovative content will be key to keeping the Diamond Dynasty community thriving and engaged across MLB The Show 23's various seasons.

FFXIV: Hosting A Live Aid-style Concert To Raise Funds

On the 6th of last month, a catastrophic earthquake shook Syria and Türkiye, and killed more than 50,000 people, with many others injured or missing. To raise needed funds for the affected areas and people, some of the best bards and bands in FFXIV had come together for a Live Aid-inspired FFXIV concert for the MMORPG. The name of this concert fits it well, and it's Eorzea Rescue.

U'Whalon Sthah, the brainchild behind Eorzea Rescue, told PCGamesN that he was playing FFXIV with his friend Rese when the earthquake happened. “For me, getting news from friends around me was more of a hit than getting news from a third party like the news. That’s when Rese first told me what happened. When the earthquake happened, we all felt terrible, and we couldn't even believe that the earthquake was so serious."

FFXIV

As disaster-affected areas receive more and more aid, FFXIV developer Square Enix has suspended the demolition of in-game houses for inactive FFXIV players. The existence of this system usually pushes players to log in. However, facing the current situation in Turkey and Syria, many local players have no way to log in. Companies like Humble Bundle have also partnered with developers to create a valuable charity bundle valued at over $1,000, with all proceeds going to earthquake relief charities.

The intention is not to show their big money gestures, but out of inner compassion and everyday kindness. And that's what the Eorzea Rescue concert is all about, showing pure empathy to everyone. U'Whalon Sthah said, "One thing I have been thinking about is: what can I do for them? So, I turned my attention to real life. Let the band hold a concert together to raise funds for the disaster-stricken area. It's a really good idea, so, of course, we're going to do it."

So, they looked to Live Aid, a 1985 fundraising concert. The concert was spearheaded by Ultravox's Midge Ure and Boomtown Rats' Bob Geldof. Organizer Ori said, "When we organize events in the game, we are always trying to find great ideas from the real world. The Live Aid concert in 1985 can encourage people to continue to live well. And we as a global community have members who have come across the Atlantic. So, we hope that more and more members will join us in this common humanitarian goal."

U'Whalon also responded, "In my opinion, the idea of bringing singers and bands together for a good purpose is very good. So, when this idea was born in my mind, I just decided to do it. Just thinking about how many singers and bands are joining us makes me so excited."

So, when exactly does this concert start? The start is Friday 3 March at 6 pm GMT/7 pm CEST and the end is Saturday 4 March with Bard Bash fest. A total of 34 bands and solo artists took to the stage of Limsa Lominsa last Saturday. They performed in a round-robin format and spanned three data centers: Louisoix on Chaos, Zodiark on Light, and Exodus on Primal.

The server mod and organizer also stated that there is no selection process for this event, "basically, we are trying to give everyone the opportunity to go to the concert so they can go to a charity event. The purpose of our doing this is to leave a good memory for everyone and send love to the world."

However, that's not all. Since Kiwi was recently inspired by a concert series, and he saw players walking the streets of the FFXIV's capital wearing yellow and blue Ukrainian flags, he had a similar idea to make the event in many activities become more unique and attractive.

"I thought we should have a similar concept so that our event would stand out from many events and get more attention from people. So, I asked Rey Ornitier, the official B&B photographer, to provide us with some help, and edited a costume that was easy to replicate." As seen in the image below, the costume was inspired by medical scrubbing equipment and pays homage to the work of Doctors Beyond Bord. The charity also accepted all donations to Eorzea Rescue.

FFXIV Medical Costume

It is such a move that makes me feel warm in my heart, and I believe you have also been touched. In a world full of anxiety and pain, a small act of kindness from you can also bring warmth and help to others. If you're an FFXIV player, it's a good thing to take part in the festivities and toss coins at your Eorzean Witcher. After all, no matter how small the stone is, it can play a big role in the river.

For additional information on Eorzea Rescue and the celebration, or even to create your own musical menagerie, you can join the FFXIV Bards and Bands Discord and make a direct donation using the event's Tiltify.

Note: if you want the related FFXIV products/services, just take a look.

NBA 2K23: 6 Great Players Who Have Been Overlooked

In NBA, there are many players, but often only the best players get people's attention. So, it's only natural that a lot of great players would be overlooked in this situation. However, this largely shows that there are some problems with the rating system in NBA 2K23, and some players who should have been paid attention have not been paid attention to.

In the past, there have been various discussions about how 2K evaluates players. This is very similar to another situation where several players were evaluated incorrectly at the previous release of 2K23 and got a lot of flak from people as a result. Updating the roster has allowed for more accurate ratings to an extent, but there are still some players who are better at the game than they are. If you want to get them, you can use NBA 2K23 MT. Next, I will introduce you to 6 great players who have been overlooked:

Anfernee Simons - 83

NBA 2K23 Anfernee Simons

Playing alongside Damian Lillard in Portland's backcourt, Anfernee Simons is one of the league's best scoring guards in the 2022-23 season. It was the first time in his career that he averaged more than 20 points per game. Anfernee Simons has always had two great skills, shooting threes and scoring off the dribble. However, he has been consistent in this year's competition to become a near go-to guy. Especially in the games where Lillard missed due to injury.

While his excellent 3-point shooting clip has been consistent, his 83 3-point shot in 2K has been underwhelming.

Josh Giddey - 84

NBA 2K23 Josh Giddey

While top scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dominated the headlines for the Oklahoma City Thunder, his second-in-command Josh Giddey was also notable because he grew so much in the same year. One of the most unique guards in the league currently has his name on it.

As a guard, although his offensive rebounding attribute did not reach 67 on 2K, his rebounding chops are still very impressive.

Devin Vassell - 83

NBA 2K23 Devin Vassell

The Spurs haven't been doing very well this season. However, I think there are a few players who have great promise, including Devin Vassell, one of San Antonio's most important rising stars. During a rookie year, he was mostly on the bench. During a sophomore year, he has been on the field as a fringe starter. After two seasons, Vassell as a reliable scorer is showing you the flashes in him.

In his bag, there are also some underrated skills, mostly because 2K has undersold his true value. His steal rate is 53, but has averaged more than a steal per game in the past two years, so it doesn't match that steal rate. Although he's a good passer, his pass vision is only 65.

OG Anunoby - 82

NBA 2K23 OG Anunoby

OG Anunoby is one of the best two-way players in the league, and he deserves a real reputation despite his underwhelming performances. He's been great as a defender. However, in the previous few seasons, he did not perform very well on offensive repertoire.

However, judging from the current situation, 2K has shown great disrespect for his performance on that side. Originally, he played as a ball-handler, but his ball handling was only 72. When he made rapid progress, he showed his excellent organizational skills, but he only had 37 pass vision and 52 pass IQ. Also, he was good as a finisher, but he only scored 75 layup.

Trey Murphy - 78

NBA 2K23 Trey Murphy

Trey Murphy's stats don't show that for a rising young star in today's NBA. That's because he's on the bench for a very talented team, the Pelicans team. Had his starting job not been replaced by Brandon Ingram, he would have had his name on one of the best young scorers in the league.

In fact, 2K hardly realizes this in many ways that need attention. Trey Murphy's three-point shooting rate, it seems that he is not very good in this area, but in fact his three-point shooting rate is very high. He's also a guy who likes to pass the ball and is very smart, but he only has 64 pass IQ. Judging from his size, he is an excellent ball-handler, but his ball handling is only 50.

Kevin Porter Jr. - 81

NBA 2K23 Kevin Porter Jr.

In the Rockets, Alperen Sengun and Jalen Green are undisputed future stars. In addition to those two, Kevin Porter Jr. proves to you that he can also be a good third-in-command and has a natural scoring skills. At the same time, he is constantly improving himself and making himself a more complete player.

This time, although 2K let his ability show on the stat sheet, 2K still didn't notice it. Usually, when Green is at off-guard, Kevin Porter Jr plays lead guard. It is also because of these experiences that he is a better organizer and ball-handler. However, his pass vision is only 73 and his ball-handling is only 82. Also, his defensive and offensive rebounds in 2K are just 58 and 46, respectively. In fact, for a guard, his rebounding level is already above average, because he averages about 5 rebounds per game.

How To Beat Defenders With Dribbling Tecniques In FIFA 23

Dribbling is a staple in football. Not only is this an aspect of the game that we all love, but it's also a skill in itself that takes dedication and practice for years in and years out. And guess what it's the same for FIFA? I mean you could either be Basin, attempting to dribble an assignment charity match or you could be Defenders and dribbling throughout the defense.

One thing we must come to accept this year in 2023 is the fact that dribbling is non-existent. However, there are specific techniques, which we can use to beat Defenders in FIFA 23. This is the top three methods to beat Defenders with dribbling in FIFA 23.

1. Agile Feint

First of all, we're going to kick things off with Agile Dribbling. To perform it, you just need to hold in one. Essentially, the player will add your dribble. It will increase the touches that he takes when you're going left and right with the left stick and can be super useful specifically to faint a Defender away and beat him.

Now I'm going to compare it to Strafe Dribbling. Although that won't be in this tutorial, I can use it to compare to Agile Dribbling. Essentially, what I like to do is use Agile Dribbling to take it to the side of the Defender and strap your link to draw the defend in. However, that is not the technique I'm talking about.

When the Defender is approaching, you can hold R1 and hold this deck to the left and then hold it briefly to the right to do a faint motion. And what this does is allow you to burst past the Defender. If he hasn't quite fated on the first thing that you perform with the left stick, you can do it again. You can go left-right-left or right-left-left-right. And essentially, the player will faint the Defender away. And you're able to dribble around him and then burst into the space that has been left open. This is specifically how I beat Defenders with Agile Dribbling.

Agile Dribbling in FIFA 23

2. Back Feinting

I find it's the best way to do so in FIFA 23 back fainting the opponent with left stick dribbling. I've done a standalone tutorial on this and how to beat Defenders in the bots, but it's so effective. And especially when you're dribbling with left stick, it's not as agile as previous years as we've determined in the intro.

But, what I will say is, if you keep it back to him and you do small left right movements, what will happen is he will eventually commit to a side that you've thanked him towards which will then allow you to beat him and burst off into the space that he has left open. So, you can essentially hit the Strikers, defeat or you can dribble towards a Defender and turn back to keep it back to him. And not allow him to keep full and then faint him away to a certain side to then open up space to another side and burst into that space. It's a very very good way of beating Defenders with left stick dribbling and I find it's the most effective way this year in 2023.

3. Straffe Touch Dribble

Not many people know about the Agile Dribbling and Touch Dribble technique, but it's very effective. Essentially, when you are dribbling in FIFA 23 and you are approaching the Defender, what you can do is as the player takes touches on the ball. You can tap L1. What this does is a very very Agile Touch to the side as he dribbles. And it can actually allow you to beat Defenders, when you couple this with R2 Sprint Dribbling.

Then you should use the Agile Dribbling technique, where you approach him on the touch. Tap it, take it to the side and then burst with the R2 button to the side of the Defender. It's very hard to tackle and very hard to read. I find it's a very very effective way of beating Defenders this year in FIFA 23. If you just tap it not hold it but just tap it on the touch, and it allows you to do a big quick shimmy to the side. And then burst into the space to the side of the Defender with R2.

If we use these techniques, it'll allow us to best defeat beat defenders in any situation. And if you use FUT Coins to improve your players' strength, you can win more games.

Lost Ark Build Guide: How to Be A Remarkable Summoner?

Lost Ark offers many different classes for players to choose from, including the newly added Summoner. This new advanced class is a type of mage that summons elemental spirits to fight for her. She also has access to powerful earth, lightning, and water spells that wreak havoc on enemies. However, the Summoner class is not for everyone. She is fragile, very slow compared to other classes, and difficult to master.

The Summoner offers excellent mobility with ranged options and high damage for consistency and burst. All of her spells have an AoE component, allowing her to wipe out entire hordes with one cast in many situations. Giving the Summoner the best build possible will help counteract her negative aspects, making her a force to be reckoned with in Lost Ark.

2022122716162555How to Be A Remarkable Summoner in Lost Ark?

Engravings For The Summoner

To complete the best build for the Summoner, players must ensure they use the proper engravings. As soon as their Summoner reaches level 50, they must equip these engravings to complete the build. From the class-specific options, they will need to choose the Master Summoner engraving, which reduces the cost of elemental bullets and increases damage and crit probabilities.

Keen Blunt Weapon

Inflicts additional crit damage but has the chance of dealing 20% less damage.

Adrenaline

Receive a damage bonus per ability used.

Hit Master

Increases damage when attacking from the side.

Grudge

Additional damage to higher tier enemies and bosses but at the cost of +20% damage inflicted by them, making it more effective in the endgame.

Skills For The Summoner

The best plan of action is to choose the Master Summoner Build. For raids, players will get the maximum flexibility possible out of their Summoner and have consistent burst damage. The only problem with this build is that it can be highly immobile and challenging for some players.

While other options can prove easier to manage, they won't offer the same in damage output. The Master Summoner is the favored option by many players for this reason. There are specific skills and tripods for these skills that will make this build the best.

Shurdi

For the Summoner, Shurdi is a small light elemental. She can summon this elemental, and it will move with her for 20 seconds. As it moves with her, it causes 130 damage to nearby enemies.

  • MP Recovery

Effects At Maximum Level

  • Increases Crit Rate of Summoner +11.8%
  • Increases summon rate by 8 seconds

Sticky Moss Swamp

With this skill, the player can summon a sticky, mossy swamp to aid them. It takes 0.5 seconds to generate and will last for 5 seconds, inflicting 26 damage on enemies every second. It also decreases enemies' move speed by -60% for 2 seconds.

Tripod

  • Ready Attack
  • Corrosion Diffusion

Effects At Maximum Level

  • Increases Attack power 44.4% and increases MP cost 50%.
  • Creates Moss Swamp immediately and adds benefit of -12% enemy defense for 16 seconds on hit.

Electric Storm

Electric Storm is a skill for players who want to create massive damage among the ranks of their enemies. It concentrates energy over the course of 1.5 seconds, then unleashes it for 5 seconds in a barrage of 10 hits, inflicting lightning damage. It packs a punch with 981 damage.

Tripod

Tripod

  • Flame Collapse
  • Shake
  • Earth Manipulator

Effects At Maximum Level

  • The element changes to fire and the damage output increases by +40%
  • During casting, nearby enemies will be attacked 4 times, dealing +60% of base damage
  • Damage output increases +120% but MP cost increases +50%

Steed Charge

With Steed Charge, magical energy is summoned in the form of a horse. This summon will cause 143 damage as it attacks enemies, sending them flying through the air.

Tripod

  • Stormlike Gallop
  • Weak Point Detection

  • Energy Control
  • Weak Point Detection
  • Great Explosion

Effects At Maximum Level

  • On hit, Ancient Energy will be obtained at +75%.
  • Increases damage to Push-Immune enemies by +70%.

Outstanding 2022 Play Station Games You Can Enjoy in New Year's Vacation

If you bought a PlayStation 5 for New Year's vacation, there are a bunch of great games for you to play on that console. Since its release in late 2020, dozens of must-play games have appeared, including several console-exclusive games that you won't be able to play anywhere else.

If you don't have the cash to spend on a PS5, don't worry. Due to the continued difficulty of finding PS5s in stock, Sony has released PS4 versions of some of its biggest 2022 titles, including God of War Ragnorök, Gran Turismo 7, and Horizon Forbidden West. However, that trend may eventually fizzle out, with Sony shifting more of its focus to the newer, more powerful console. As for what's below, these are the best PlayStation games to play in 2022.

202212261540376VOutstanding 2022 Play Station Games You Can Enjoy in New Year's Vacationpng

Gran Turismo 7

This is the game to get if you're a lover of automobiles and jazz. Gran Turismo 7 is the latest iteration of the car racing simulator, and it lets you get even more granular with your car obsession than before. The game quickly gives you the tools to spec cars to your liking, and this game stands out with its story mode that delves into the past, present, and future of classic car models, presented by people who were responsible for making them. And as I mentioned earlier, it plays jazz over your gameplay.

On the side, Gran Turismo 7 has all of the features you might be expecting from a modern racing game, including online play, a photo mode, and a vast array of customization for each car model. This game is relaxing to play, letting you simply focus on your position in the race instead of juggling myriad objectives, which is what most games ask of you.

Elden Ring

Costing $59.99, no other game on this list comes close to offering as much replay value for the price as Elden Ring. It's the latest game from FromSoftware, the makers of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and it features more of that company's signature difficult-yet-rewarding gameplay, but it's set in a vast open-world environment that encourages exploration and experimentation.

Elden Ring isn't the best choice for beginners unless you're willing to commit to honing your skills. Even the starter enemies waste no time putting you in your place, but it's never unfair. If you're a fan of the developers' past games, which several of us at The Verge are, we think you'll quickly find your groove in Elden Ring.

Horizon Forbidden West

The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn arrived on PS5 and PS4 in early 2022, expanding on the original action-adventure game with an even bigger world and story. As with any sequel, you should play the first game first to fully understand the stakes. However, this newer game provides a thorough recap of the first entry in case you just want to start with the sequel. No one can blame you since Forbidden West provides more quality-of-life gameplay tweaks, as well as more graphical eye candy with its realistic characters and environments. Just to note, this game is a single-player experience, and it doesn't have any multiplayer components.

The Last of Us Part I

The Last of Us has become a multimedia property, expanding from video games to its own HBO TV show coming in early 2023. To prime viewers for the survival-horror drama they'll likely see play out in the show, Naughty Dog remastered The Last of Us for PS5. The game originally launched for the PS3 in 2013 (it was remastered for the PS4 a year later).

The Last of Us Part I, as it's called, is available on the PS5 and is coming to PC in 2023. It's a gritty and violent game, told from the perspective of Joel and Ellie as they attempt to bludgeon their way through a zombie, like apocalypse with the hopes of finding a cure to save humanity.

As was expected, it greatly improved the graphics and gameplay to make it look and feel similar to The Last of Us Part II, which released in 2020. With this remaster, playing those games back-to-back to soak in all of the story should feel more seamless.

God of War Ragnorök

God of War Ragnorök is yet another sequel on this list that's worth playing. It follows the 2018 God of War title, taking place right after that game's final scene (it offers a recap, but you should seek out a YouTube summary, as the recap's not comprehensive).

While Ragnorök's third-person action gameplay feels similar to its predecessor, its story is far more ambitious. As Kratos wishes to bury his past, he's trying to convince his young son, Atreus, not to follow a tempting path at discovering his godhood and defying prophecy. Of course, things don't go as planned, but that's what makes this game so fun. God of War Ragnorök is available on PS4 and PS5.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

While this game didn't release in 2022, its big, free next-gen patch did. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt now offers ray-traced graphics, faster loading times, and other refinements on the PS5, making this the best time to jump in. CD Projekt Red originally launched this game in 2015 on the PS4, and it was a miraculous achievement at the time - and still is. It's one of a few open-world RPGs that has a huge map that's worth fully exploring and fun, memorable missions that should keep you entertained for dozens of hours.

If you're deciding between The Witcher III: Wild Hunt or CD Projekt Red's newer, flashier game Cyberpunk 2077, I highly suggest checking out the former first. It's a more polished and fun experience front-to-back.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

And lastly, the ultimate Best Nintendo Switch game is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Let’s face it, the Zelda series was long overdue for a major change, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild offers an unparalleled sense of freedom and scale in the palm of your hand. Now widely considered one of the best games of all time, Breath of the Wild tells an epic story, as you glide, cook, and battle your way across a beautifully ruined version of Hyrule. It helped reinvigorate The Legend of Zelda in a way that fans had only dreamt of, easily propelling it to the number one spot on our list and in our hearts.

Breath of the Wild also topped our updated list of the 100 best video games of all time. The sequel is officially titled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and it's out on May 12, 2023.

2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is exactly what its name implies: it’s the ultimate incarnation of Nintendo’s now 20-year-old brawler series. It’s a celebration of Smash Bros. as a whole, filled with more fighters and levels than ever before, and packed to the gills with over 1000 more characters from all across gaming. “Everyone is here!” may have started out as just another tagline, but it’s one that Nintendo has impressively backed up, and it’s made Ultimate the definitive Smash Bros. game for a long time to come. Add a 20+ hour single-player mode with full-on boss fights and huge world maps and it’s easy to get lost in Ultimate. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had a lot to live up to with that name, but it has undoubtedly done just that.

3. Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey

A masterclass in 3D platforming, Super Mario Odyssey seamlessly blends the best elements from nearly every Mario game with an entire portfolio of new gameplay mechanics to create something both nostalgic and courageous. New players will adore stomping through the vivid and vast new worlds, while seasoned veterans will stick around after the credits to unlock the hundreds of challenges that await their skill and dexterity. To put it succinctly, Super Mario Odyssey is pure, sublime joy and one of the best Super Mario games ever made.

Elsewhere in the Mushroom Kingdom, Nintendo and Illumination debuted the second Super Mario Bros. movie trailer. Check out our trailer breakdown for a look at all the secrets and Easter eggs we discovered.

4. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Released on the doorstep of a global pandemic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons provided a much need escape to many, selling nearly 34 million copies to date. Routine and discovery play equally important roles as you plan the perfect layout for your island, make friends (or enemies) with all your villagers, and invite your friends to your own little utopia to trade items and swap secrets.

It’s brilliant in its simplicity and masterful in the way it encourages players to keep up with chores, redecorate and/or reshape entire plots of land, or burn dozens of hours trying to catch rare fish or find every last seasonal item. It certainly helps that all the writing is supremely funny and that, hundreds of hours in, you’re still able to chuckle at a random comment or find genuine inspiration in the places you’d least expect.

Taking a cue from many of Nintendo’s Switch editions of their long-running franchises, Animal Crossing New Horizons does little to completely reinvent the franchise, but it makes a great series even more accessible, more exciting, and more wonderful than it has ever been.

New Horizons is officially Japan's best-selling game of all time. Animal Crossing players can get even more out of it with the Happy Home Paradise DLC. Our reviewer Taylor Lyles called the expansion "a must-have for base game owners."

5. Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread had become a near-mythic game, a fabled DS entry that never saw the light of day by the time it was announced at E3 2021 as a Switch game. With nearly 20 years having passed since the last new 2D Metroid, expectations were sky high. Fortunately for fans, Dread met (and in many cases surpassed) expectations for what a modern 2D Metroid game could accomplish.

It’s easily the smoothest game in the series, running at a silky 60fps, and incorporates several new weapons and abilities the series now can’t live without -- the Flash Shift alone makes Dread feel entirely fresh. With high-production values, incredible game design that gently guides the player through ZDR’s labyrinthine corridors, and the most unflinching version of Samus we’ve seen yet, Mercury Steam hit Metroid Dread out of the stratosphere and brought the franchise back into Nintendo’s orbit.

6. Luigi's Mansion 3

Luigi's Mansion 3

Luigi's Mansion 3 is essentially a FrankenLuigistein’s monster of the first two games, a mashup of both that creates the perfect Luigi's Mansion experience. Charming, clever, and absolutely gorgeous to look at, Luigi's Mansion is 17 levels of pure ghost-hunting joy. Working your way through each of the haunted hotels may never extremely challenging, but the creative boss fights and deviously hidden collectibles will keep you busy for a dozen hours or more. The excitement of getting to a new level just to see its theme (TV Studio! Sewer Maze! Egypt!) is well worth the price of admission, plus the game opens with Toad driving a bus. Priceless.

7. Hades

Hades

Roguelikes don’t always appeal to everyone, but Hades has somehow found a way to win over even those with a distaste for them. Fighting your way out of the Greek underworld is a ruthless and challenging affair, but every failure is rewarded in a way that somehow makes them exciting in their own right.

Instead of just notching up each loss and moving onto the next, the moments between each run push Hades’ excellent storytelling to the forefront, giving you opportunities to learn more about its charming characters and grow close to them – as well as improve the prince of the underworld’s abilities and weapons. It’s that meaningful mix of progression and infinitely repeatable escape attempts (coupled with genuinely fantastic writing, art, and action) that make Hades as delectable as Ambrosia itself.

A sequel, Hades 2, was announced at The Game Awards.

8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8’s encore on Nintendo Switch didn’t just keep the online community alive and added returning favorites like Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast, we also got a brand-new “cops and robbers” team mode with Renegade Roundup, all of the great DLC stages, and even some guests from the Splatoon universe. It’s not a new game, but one so good, it deserved to reach a bigger audience on Switch right away.

It's the best-selling Switch game to date with over 48 million copies sold, and there's still more to come: The Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass will add 48 courses to the game by the end of 2023.

9. Celeste

Celeste

Celeste is a surprise masterpiece. Its 2D platforming is some of the best and toughest since Super Meat Boy, with levels that are as challenging to figure out as they are satisfying to complete. But the greatest triumph of Celeste is that its best-in-class jumping and dashing is blended beautifully with an important and sincere story and an incredible soundtrack that make it a genuinely emotional game, even when your feet are planted firmly on the ground.

The developer's next game is Earthblade, a "2D explor-action game in a seamless pixel art world" due out in 2024.

10. Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is one of the best modern MetroidVania’s available, using all the pieces that make the genre so great in the first place without feeling derivative of anything that came before it.

The expertly crafted map that is the kingdom of Hallownest has an absurd amount of paths to explore, bosses to fight, and secrets to uncover. That's all drawn in a somber but expressive art style that gives the adorable bug people who live their lives, and stories, of their own. It can undoubtedly be a challenging and demanding game, but what you get out of will be a reward worth far more than you put in.

A sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is now in development. It will seemingly be released sometime before June 2023.

Apex Legends leaker claims class overhaul and Legend reworks may come in Season 16

Recent leaks have claimed that Respawn Entertainment may bring a major overhaul to both classes and Legends during Season 16 of Apex Legends.

Apex Legends leaker

With Apex Legends receiving few updates to close out 2022, the community is already speculating what Season 16 may have in store for the battle royale.

Some leakers have claimed that Respawn Entertainment is looking to make some big changes to World’s Edge by removing some major parts of the Fragment POI.

However, it seems World’s Edge isn’t the only thing getting changed if leaks are to be believed, as one leak claimed Respawn is planning a major class system overhaul alongside multiple Legend reworks.

Apex Legends leak claims massive class overhaul in the works

The leak comes by way of content creator Thordansmash on Twitter, though the name of the original leaker seems to have been omitted.

Thordansmash tweeted out an image of leaked info with the caption: “The new classes in Apex Legends have another leaker putting out info about them…and I’m all for it. Pathfinder finally getting a solid rework baby.”

The leak claims that Respawn is planning to overhaul Apex’s current class system away from Attack, Defense, Support, and Recon to give roles a bit more variation. According to the leak, Respawn is planning to add the “Assualt” and “Skirmisher” classes to differentiate Attack Legends.

Additionally, Defense Legends like Wattson, Caustic, and Rampart will now be classified as “Control” Legends, while Gibby and Newcastle will shift to the Support class alongside Loba and Lifeline.

Finally, the leak claimed that Pathfinder and “possibly even Mirage” will receive reworks when these class changes arrive.

As for the two new roles, Assualt and Skirmisher, Assault Legends “will get red bins AND extra inventory ammo” while Skirmisher Legends will include more Legends mobility and “hit and run type” Legends, like Wraith and Mirage.

The leak also referred to Thordansmash and claimed that they had “said all of this before in the past and this lines up perfectly to what I’ve heard, read, and been told.”

Of course, these leaks are still unconfirmed so fans should definitely view them with some skepticism. Regardless of if they are true or not, Apex Legends’ class system could definitely use an overhaul after nearly four years and over 15 new Legends added to the game.
